Sarah L. Lukin
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Lukin joined the firm in November 2013. She leads due diligence for Limited Partners and Investors, sources investment opportunities, and raises capital for the Fund. She is also responsible for Limited Partner and Investor relations, Fund administration, Human Resources, and supports a variety of cross-functional operations and firm initiatives.
Ms. Lukin has 17 years of experience, including 15 years working with indigenous businesses across the U.S. and Canada. She has led diverse teams through significant organizational change and growth. Most recently, Ms. Lukin was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Afognak Native Corporation—the seventh largest business in Alaska—and today serves on its Board of Directors. She was also the Executive Director and a Board Member of the Native American Contractors Association, a national trade organization that represents the interests of Native contractors, an industry that annually sells $6.8 billion worth of goods and services to the U.S. federal government.
Ms. Lukin earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Alaska, and a certificate in Alaska Native executive leadership from Alaska Pacific University. She received the Alaska Top 40 Under Forty award in 2008, the American Indian top 40 Under 40 award in 2009, and was awarded the Marshall Memorial Fellowship for transatlantic leadership in 2013.
Ms. Lukin is Alutiiq from the Native Village of Port Lions, Alaska.
